I was back home during my last vaction. My mother asked me to read the first book in the series and then convince my little brother how good it was. I thought it might be a chore at first, but Harry Potter was quite enjoyable.

I have to comment though, Jehovah's Witnesses should never allow their children to read this book. The contrast between the mundane world - where the parents lock Harry up in the cupboard and don't celebrate his birthdays - and the magical world where people are treated like human beings is too great. Besides which, in general, books with plots in them might put kids off dry tasteless literature like the Watchtower.
