Rick,

I want you to know how much I appreciate your efforts to give a warm human three-dimensional side to those who participate on H2O (and would like others to know what kind of persons they are, even if they remain anonymous and/or pictureless). I'll try to make time to write something about myself and post it, so my name will have a link. ;-)

Thanks! I'll look forward to your contribution.

I appreciate your disclaimer ... a shame we need any disclaimers on a site like this ... there are those who dearly want H2O to vanish into the blackness of cyberspace

Not a problem at all. You know I want to keep the content on H2O Bio's to the same high level as that on H2O, but I agree that safeguards should be in place.

May I suggest that if you run out of disk space, you create a "photo repository" satellite site on Geocities

Excellent idea - thanks.

Also, if you posted a little "tutorial" on how to enter HTML code to make a photo display in an H2O posting, the friends could optionally place a photo in their posts (and even make it "hot" or clickable to go directly to their bio on your site), like they display photos in some posts on www.witnesses.net forums.

Again, another great idea - one I'd definitely like to implement when I have the time. I'm currently putting together Cygnus' bio page, and then I'll be adding a note on editorial policy... and then I'll be trying to create a 'proper' e-mail submission page... and then I'll knock up some sample HTML...... ;D [I have a feeling that one day soon I'll know exactly how you feel....]

It's also nice to know that if anything unexpected were to happen to H2O, your site can serve as a backup for "news bulletins" and such.

Again, no problem. But isn't that what H2O Backup is for?

I can just see You Know's face, illuminated in the glow of his computer as it runs on a backup battery, smiling from ear to ear, fist raised triumphantly in the air, singing out the word "Yesssssss!!!!!" if the west coast power grid shuts down as doomsayers are predicting.

LOL. This is how I picture Robert most of the time! Thanks again for the positive feedback...

Regards,

barJonah
