Hello Joseph,
I hope you are well.
Thanks for letting me know! That's great. I haven't visited in a while. I'll check it out. As I remember it was pretty on-point before.
Here's just some background notes for you.
I've tried to track down a credible refeence to "high sabbath" or "great sabbath." One person said there was actually a quote in some Extra-Biblical Jewish writings that specifically referred to it being for a double-sabbath, or "two-day" sabbath. The general presumption is that there was some kind of a reference to a special sabbath. But now, I think it can be demonstrated that "high sabbath" was just a reference to any non-Saturday special sabbath.
They do call the single days that are not the regular sabbath, such as Pentecost or Day of Atonement a "high sabbath" or "high day." So it is possible this reference is simply to the fact that Nisan 21st was a "high sabbath" rather than a regular Saturday. So if you come across something specific, one way or another, you might want to take note. I've forgotten exactly what was being said and I don't know if we will ever pin this one down even though it is a minor point. It works with either explanation. But I think I can confirm that they do call other special sabbaths simply a "high" sabbath and this may have been all that was referred to in that text.
I always check what you say about these things first in what you sent me. I'll check out the revisions and if I have any comments I'll post them or E-mail you.
Cheers and thanks..
