He wanted to know what we did so I will tell him. We gathered at a home on a Sunny Sunday afternoon. We dressed in jeans and sandals and comfy shirts, and sat on squishy couches. We ate pies, cakes, chips, dip, pop and coffee while we talked about the Bible, about radio ministries, about the WTS history, about current events in the Society and our lives. We laughed, we asked questions of each other, we disagreed with each other on things...no one was thrown out for doing so....we talked about the EXJW convention in PA, about the use of megaphones and phonographs in door to door work, about experiences people had picketing Bethel and about JWs who used to picket churches with the use of sandwich boards. No one timed anybody, no one took a head count, no one had to raise their hands, no one had to be careful what they said, no words were weighed, no G's or W's given...no hatred was shown for anyone, anywhere. No one told us to please take our seats. We went to the bathroom whenever we wanted to and we used as many paper towels as we needed. Nobody is going to test us on the information we covered. Nobody had us repeat verbatim anything from any paragraphs. Nobody read scriptures and then TOLD us what we were supposed to get from it, not allowing ANY discussion. They just read, and we enjoyed. We closed with a prayer to God the Father which included people both in and out of the Organization. A good time was had by all, and we will be doing it every month...everywhere. And I didnt count but Jesus' name came up a bazzillion times and nobody flinched like they were being stung every time it was said. I hope you DO try it some day!
