Why is it that I am not df or da but my sister's elders have told her to not allow me to "even show her a scripture" because I will twist it?
I haven't gone around calling the friends in my KH trying to turn them away. I have kept a very low profile. The only people I try to warn about the society are those who are studying that I come in contact because of contacts I have made through other churches. For example, somebody might come to me and say, "Can you help my daughter, she is studying with JW's." And I'll go over and talk to the daughter and tell her what she should watch out for.
No elder knows about this. In fact, nobody even knows I go to another church. So why is it that my sister's elders warn her not to talk to me about anything spiritual? My sister is walking around acting like I am possessed or something just because I believe the Society is wrong on the blood doctrine and that they are not God's channel of communication.
No one has ever called me to a committee and I wouldn't even go if they did. My sister does not shun me. She just says, "I have been advised not to engage in any spiritual discussions with you." I do not understand this at all. Is this something new they are doing to those who disagree with their teachings? Like I said, no elder has ever even approached me to ask me what my concerns are. My sister has no idea what I am thinking or believing because she has not given me a chance to explain. When I told her I thought the Society was wrong on blood all I said was, "They were wrong about vaccinations and about organ transplants. They could be wrong on blood as well and I'm not willing to stake my life on it." When I told her I don't believe that they are God's channel I said, "Unless God comes right out and tells them something and they can prove it, I will only give them relative submission and treat their advice as only advice from imperfect men."
This is all I have said to her. So why is she not allowed to talk to me? And why haven't they called me to a committee?
