Dear honeyand,
I am glad that you have come so far so fast. You see a lot of things that it takes others a good many more years to see. Everyone is on a different journey due to their own circumstances. Many are very angry and hurt, many feel less pain and jump ahead further. Family still "in" has something to do with it too.
There is definitely a mix here and if you are here a short time you might get confused as to the "flavor" of things. That "flavor" can change quickly too.I think if you decide to stick around you will still see what you have very nicely expressed in your post, but you will also see that individuals have gone on and progressed and are happy and balanced. Some have found a great deal of peace and some are still searching. But there is no other place on the Net that I have found that has the depth of this board. Ask anything.....someone will help you. We all care about one another. We fight sometimes, but that happens with all "siblings."
As you said, some are still looking for others to tell them what is right, but in time that changes. It takes time to "leave home" and become independent.
You are right about people misconstuing the Bible to the degree that no one can seem to believe anything. That is the hard part for me too.
So if you like hang around, I think you have a lot to offer here and I hope that the ones here will be as helpfull and enlightening and comforting as they have been to me.
