Hmmmm..

That makes sense because I consider that certain persons who don't want to investigate Biblical topics that are contradictory with the organization as an indication that they have more "reverence" for the organization than for the Bible and thus that constitutes that they are worshipping the organization or the "Faithful Slave" in some way.

So people do make idols out of many things. I agree.

But I think there is a line drawn at certain objects. For instance, if you have a statue of
Buddha in your house. You may not bow down to it
but you are still giving honor to a false god just
by having it in your house I'd think. I don't
think you can de-idolize it by simply saying "It's just a nice statue of a fat Chinese man I like
having in my house, he's not an idol." That's
because it is a specific idol of some god.

So I guess the wise thing to do is to avoid those
gray areas when you can. I don't think people
who think they can celebrate Christmas, for
instance, as a Christian holiday and not a pagan
holiday, get off the hook because they have
redefined what a Christmas tree means or what
an Easter bunny means, especially if they didn't
originate those symbolisms.

Cheers,
Bibleman
