A good question, and a tricky one. My approach can't be anything but purely subjective, but I would aim that the bio's as posted are unedited. Of course, I must reserve the right to refuse a bio, but only for the following reasons:

• Length. Alan's bio is about as long as I'd want any bio to be (I only have 15MB of space on Geocities!), and I'd like to keep download times to a sensible figure.
  
• FPP-type Issues. I will reject a bio along the same lines as a moderator will reject an H2O post: if it contains bad language, slander about other people on H2O, racist or sexist comments etc.

If I reject a bio, I'll let the person submitting know why, and give them the opportunity to re-submit. I will treat entries for the 'comments from others' section the same way.

You shouldn't really care what I say about myself since you're semi-"agnostic" which is interesting, right?

I call myself agnostic in my bio. I'm not sure how anyone can be semi-agnostic. But no, I don't mind what you say about yourself, though I might limit what you say about other people.

In other words, is this just another anti-JW site disguised as "biographies"

It is certainly not an anti-JW site. I look forward to contributions from all H2O regulars.

Thanks for your question on editorial policy. I will add a note about this on the front page of the site. I couldn't find the typo you mention in your post above. Could you give me a better clue as to where it is?
