I think we cannot ignore the Bible's chronology.
Everything has happened on schedule. A time period from the time the Messiah arrived until he gathers his anointed ones was necessary, but that has been 7 years now. The "hours" over a generation of the vineyard period works out nicely to be about 7 years each. That is, 11 hours x 7 is 77 years from 1914 to 1991-92. If that is what is implied then a 7-year period for paying the workers might be expected. But that time has run out.
Furthermore, some think the "last days" has to do with two days of 1000 years each relating to Jesus' first and Second coming. His birth was announced to the shepherds so it is not Biblically insignificant. That being the case, his birth in the fall of 2BCE just ran out this year! 2000-2BCE=1998+1=1999. Again, the significance of this is that "a day to Jehovah is as a thousand years" so this two-day period has run out if you begin it with Jesus' birth year in 2BCE.
So this could be a critial point in Bible history. All that is left really now is the destruction of Babylon the Great by the U.N. The fourth beast mentioned in Daniel is an ambiguous beast and it is killed by "fire" before the other political beasts are destroyed: US/Nato, Russia, Japan. But they are said to have given up their kingships for "a time and a season." Which means a year and 3 months.
That being the case, there isn't much to look forward to but the demise of the organization in the near future. We know it has already been abandoned spiritually, the GB being disfellowshipped in November of 1992 and they are totally in spiritual darkness. They are telling the witnesses that the "great tribulation" is still a future event and it is an event that is completely OVER before the Messiah even arrives! So they don't know what they are talking about and they can't get it right without holy spirit, which they have been cut off from.
We also know from Revelation that this Lamb-Beast organization, which is also called the "false prophet" is thrown into the lake of fire with the 666-Beast at the same time. So reform isn't going to do it any good. It is scheduled for destruction.
So it is time for individual retrospection into our personal relationships with God since the organization in no way will offer the spiritual food needed for this last chapter before the millennium.
I thus think it is time to abandon ship, literally or spiritually. Get out of "Babylon the Great" if you do not want to receive part of its plagues.
Cheers,
