You MUST do neither, you do not have to sacrafice your beliefs to be together, as witnesses teach. You are being pulled to their will in thinking you have no other options than this or that. Ask yourself this. Does he love you? Do you love him. Can either of you truely say that it is sinful to be with who you love? If he says he will not marry you unless you become a witness, there is the fact that he fell in love with you while you where not why can't he continue to love you. In asking him to leave his faith to be with you is the same as asking him to choose between you and his God. The same goes in you converting. There should not be a choice, rather accept each other as is and love each other as you have. You do not have to make a choice and should not. Do you understand my point now?
I have seen this scenerio far too often. Please be careful as this is the rest of your life...
