Opposers are the difference between 1975 and today. 20 years ago when people left, most just crawled into a hole and kept their mouths shut about the WTS. If they met a witness on the street they would look down and avoid making eye contact with the loyal J-dub. Today, those that are leaving are more willing to make statements against the 'tower and not be afraid of what mama can do to them. The whole attitude that "apostates" have about who and what the society is has a very different feel because these individuals are much more knowledgeable about the lies and false teachings that the society has been printing for their entire history. Informed ex-witnesses make it very difficult for the WTS to "just keep rolling along."
