Absolutely hated this book. Couldn't get into the genealogies because his Bible scholarship is so poor (even to an amateur like me).
I did enjoy Baigent, Lincoln and Leigh's Holy Blood, Holy Grail, on which Robert Anton Wilson comments at length in Cosmic Trigger III. If anyone is interested in Illuminati-related stuff, I definitely recommend Wilson, starting with the Cosmic Trigger trilogy. You can get his stuff direct from New Falcon (the publishers) or Amazon.
