An idol can be anything. It only matters what you think of it. If my husband begins thinking more of his race car than religion or his family, and keeps it spit and shined, that is an idol. When I have a hamburger for lunch, I am eating something that is an idol to someone in the world. Many things come from pagans that we use in our everyday life. How about the names of the days of the week, look that up sometime.
