I don't know about that. I agree that there is a widespread "if-it's-in-print-it-is-of-Jah" mentality so something issued in the WT would be taken somewhat seriously. However, isn't blood already a "conscience matter"? Isn't voting? They tell you that it's up to you but then they go on to tell you why you disagree with it. Such an article was posted here not too long ago. I am of the impression that the WT says it's up to you but they don't mean it.
What reform-minded persons seem to forget is the masses are not of the same mindset and think the WT is perfect as it is. Sweeping changes would be very traumatic, IMO.
Don't get me wrong, I would be delighted if the WT made some positive changes. I'd love to see the shunning policy and the blood policy dropped.
