We learned to believe in God and Jesus because our parents believed, our siblings believed, our peers believed and so on.
If you were raised a witness, then you won't be able to identify, but, trust me, virtually everyone else can.
They taught us to believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, too. And for many of us, the the truth about those was something we realized on our own or learned from our peers. It wasn't something our parents ever admitted to us. Yet we managed to keep from going into a tailspin over it.
