A very dear friend of mine's husband is dying of cancer. She is an EXJW and he is still a JW. He is in New York for treatment for the next three weeks, and the family needs our love and support. A simple card (address below) or an EMAIL from all of you would be SO VERY appreciated. Will you take the time? If you can't send a card snail mail, then send one Email or a message of encouragement to me or to MIELNATA@AOL.COM and we will be sure he gets them. We can do this, friends, no matter what our religions are, or our beliefs, someone needs us to be there for them. You can do this. Hello friends,
Just want to thank all of you for the support you have given to us so far. Things have been pretty rough around here with John's cancer and all. He came home for 4 days in between treatments to visit. Last week he started having really bad leg pain and could not walk. He went on some heavy duty pain killers and it helped some and he was able to limp around and come home to visit. While he was here he had an MRI done on his leg and we found out today that his cancer has now spread to his bones. He is in bad pain from the bone cancer and the liver cancer. The doctor's have now put him on morphine for relief. He goes back up to NY tomorrow for 3 more weeks to finish the treatments on his liver and to start treatments on his leg as well as his lung tumors. Just in the one area from his knee to mid thigh he has multiple tumors. I know that he would be greatly encouraged by cards from all of you. Please feel free to send words of encouragement and support to:

But the war with it will most likely not be won. So, I am making calls to my dear friends to take up arms in the form of cards via the United States Postal Service to chase the sad faces away and bring the smiles back. Considering it all, he is amazingly in good spirits!!! Tamara"
