I think deep down you know it's coming and it scares the living daylights out of you.
What's coming is my inevitable death of old age, after which time I will be in what JW's know as "sheol, the common grave of mankind." I won't know anything, even that I once lived and now do not.
What's so scary about that? I could walk outside right now and get hit by a meteorite. If it happens, it happens. I live as long as I live, and no longer.
However, I assure, while I live, I live as though I am alive. I don't postpone life's pleasures and potential for a future time. When I sit on the porch rocking away my final days with a quilt over my legs and a cup of warm tea by my side, I will be remembering how well I lived, not all the opportunities I rejected.
