You said that Jesus and God are not the same person and you are right. I don't know of anyone that believes that God and Jesus are the same person. The Trinity teaches that they are distinct from each other. You mentioned 1Cor 11:3. This is a good example of why Jesus is God and not an angel. First, there are many times when Jesus is in subjection to God. As a man on earth, he was certainly in subjection to God, and as 1Ti 2:5 points out he is still a man in Heaven so in that respect he would still be in subjection to God. As far as 1Cor. 11:3 goes man and woman are of the same substance and God and Jesus are of the same substance so this verse makes sense. If Jesus were an angel he would not be of the same substance of God, and then the comparisons would not work. In other words, man and woman are equal in substance just as God and Christ, but in terms of position or role sometimes the man is the "head" as God sometimes is over Christ.
