I have proposed to Greg that we have his book, and, in particular Chapter 9, reviewed by an independent academic expert in the field. This would cost some money: I have offered to contribute some, and, if other participants were interested then I'm sure we could could come up with a mutually acceptable plan.

After identifying an expert who would agree to review Greg's book, and, in particular Chapter 9, then we would publish his or her review here. That would be part of the deal. Of course, this expert would also be supplied the necessary WTS material to enable him or her to weigh Greg's case. If Greg agrees, as I hope he will, I would propose that participants here suggest appropriate WTS quotations either in support of, or against, Greg's case. I would also suggest that no additional editorial material be supplied by either side. The expert would, however, be made aware of H2O and other sites carrying, e.g., AF's essays. What do you think? I'm open to any and all suggestions/criticisms.

It goes without saying that we don't need Greg's permission to do this but would it would be nice if he were to agree to it. Plus it would show that he is prepared to stand by his book in the wider academic community of scholars.

Generally, academics are usually willing to review such material if there is some remuneration. However, it would have to be set up in a such a way that neither side tried in any way to bias this person.
