The statistics are starting to be revealed and a
picture of serious decline in the Western world is
emerging. There will be debate on "why now" as a
cause is sought for the organization's ills.
Much of it has to do with the end of the millenium.
People say in their hearts "It's the 21st century (soon) and where's this End you kept saying was so
near?" It's a marker in time that, inevitably, will
be used as a quiet signal that the claims of the WTS
need a hard examination. In short, it's becoming
"put up or shut up" time.
Actually, if you look at the record of failed prophecy,
this hard examination is long overdue - it should have
taken place decades ago. But our human tendency of
self-deception prevented that from happening.
It's a building perception, an awakening, little
different than the sudden arousal of thought in the
former Soviet Union. An invisible, intangible change
that might just sweep their enterprise away....
