My answer: that thread is the most materialistic, unfeeling, wicked attitude that I have ever seen alleged 'Christians' display!
They mentioned 'Day One' which is famous for it's mind-numbing display of idiocy.
This is for BIG RAY, all of you lurkers, for his is the most callous, flippant post of the bunch.

Day Two
A Dark Fantasy

I woke in the morning before anyone else. I realized immediately that something was wrong. People that I did not know were standing amongst us. There were several men who were dressed in work clothes and boots. I suddenly recognized them as district and circuit overseers.
"Rise and shine people, we have work to do."
They were shouting and rousing people who were still groggy from last night.
"The slave has much work that needs done."
They had what looked to be a National Guard truck outside and they herded us into it, handing out masks, coveralls and disposable gloves. One of them closed the canvas back of the vehicle behind us.
Some of them had climbed into the R.V.s we had taken the day before and away we went. All of our smiles had gone by now and the ride was bumpy. Some of the sisters were crying and we all complained loudly about our treatment. Some of the older ones looked badly shaken. The brothers driving finally stopped and opened the canvas back of the truck. We had arrived.
I realized that we were in a nearby city that had died by fire, earthquake and meteor strikes. All around us was a foul-smelling, smoking ruin. Dead 'wordly' bodies were all around. Burn't, bloody and as ruined as their city.
A speaker mounted on one of the trucks was blaring out kingdom songs and it echoed amongst the shattered buidings. I would soon grow to enjoy silence much more. Those songs bring back the memories of those years.
The brother in charge spoke, "We have some theocratic work for all of you to do. Rejoice brothers and sisters. Six million of us world wide will spend the next 1000 years removing all traces of man and his civilization from this earth. We have a lot of bodies to burn. Take care to wear the clothes you have been given as disease can be caught from the bodies, rats and flies. But don't worry, it won't kill you."
He smiled and then said, "What good would you be to us then?"
I spoke up then, "What about the Resurected ones? Won't we be greeting our dead loved ones and training the worldlies to worship Jah?"
He relied, "Don't you read Revelations, brother? It says clearly that it is not until the 1000 years have ended that this occurs."
I think that is the first time I really understood the term, 'new light'.
"Now get to work, all of you. This is the new system!"

This is how it goes: the sisters work the fields and we do the clean up. We don't use anything that the worldlies left, nor do we have any of their possesions. There is no electricity, no gasoline (except for the Theocratic work trucks), none of the modern conveniences.
They took all of the children away soon after the first work parties, to the Theocratic School they said. What a sad day but we all smiled anyway. You see, those who complain too much just vanish overnight.
I met one of the former governing body not too long ago. The old fellow was working with a clean up crew that stopped in our territory on their way somewhere else. Several of us stopped long enough to approach him.
"Aren't you brother Unbending? Why aren't you in heaven, ruling with our Lord Christ?"
He looked at us with a bewildered expression and shook his head saying,"I am not Jewish, nor am I a virgin. Don't you read Revelations? That's what it has ALWAYS SAID! The Jews are chosen of God and always have been, according to the new light."
One of the Overseers spied us and shouted, "Get to work, no one told you fellows to stop!"

I finally got out of that job. With me being one of the younger men, I was chosen to help build the Ziggurat on the selected site on the outskirts of a blackened and blasted wasteland. One of the worldlies nukes went off here somewhere. It's still better than hauling dead bodies. They said I would get used to the vomiting and diarhea. After all, it won't kill me!
They play Theocratic songs here too. Ughhh.
But I keep smiling.
