Okay, maybe you are right. So, in that sense, I "feel" for the brother. But on the other hand, I "feel" for the innocent brothers, by the tens of thousands that could be helped by this man. Just look where this guy is sitting. He is in a position to do some REAL DAMAGE to the organization, if he was willing. He could use that as a "bargaining chip," if he wanted. This would give him some real weight, to thrown around.
As a member of the Governing Body, he is sitting in a chair where millions of people look to this guy for real leadership. Is he admitting to us, and all of the world watching, that he simply is NOT QUALIFIED for the position he occupies, namely of the Governing Body, given all of the "facts" provided him privately by the brotherhood in Cyberspace? Did God put this info before him or what? Does he belong on the G.B., or what?
Other questions he needs to consider: Will he receive his "crown" in heaven, something he mentioned he wants desperately, if he just sits there on the "body" and does nothing. A professional "window dresser," one having knowledge but doing nothing about it, a real yellow-belly "coward". (Rev. 21:8) Would that be acceptable to Jehovah?
What about the example Ros, you have set? You left the god forsaken organization. He could do that. Write a book, Ray Franz. That would accomplish a lot of good. He has got to know that Jehovah would provide for him, financially, like Ray Franz, if he decided to leave. Friends, ex-Jws by the 1,000s would help him. He has got to know this. Where is his faith in Jah? A 60-year servant of Jehovah does not know this?
Or, if he stays, he could work undercover, add impetus to the work of the reformers by just being a "symbol," a figure-head, a visible reminder that the reform movement is not to be taken lightly. It is not going away by any means. Man he could do a lot for the movement that way, if he chose. He could thereby invigorate others like C.O.s and D.O.s, missionaries, Bethlites, everyone who wants change in the organization to action, perhaps.
But if he "goes home and plays dead," (exactly what the G.B would want him to do,) keeps quiet, that is the most awful thing I think that could happen to him. Surely, he would lose out, all the way round. No chance of receiving his heavenly reward either. It would be stupid to quit now. For him, at his age and all.
Ros, He needs to be brave, like Jesus, his Savior, and stand up for once! Be brave for once in your life, brother...stand up and be counted!
Will you, G.B. member, simply let the righteous perish with the wicked, namely those following the wicked leadership of the WTS. Are you going to simply allow this to happen without doing something about it?
Proverbs 31:8, 9 says:
"OPEN YOUR MOUTH for the speechless one, in the cause of all those passing away OPEN YOUR MOUTH, judge righteously and PLEAD THE CAUSE of the afflicted one and the poor one."
If he on the Governing Body for a reason, now he knows what God wants him, no expects him to do. So, there now, he has HIS ANSWER, and its from God!
Now, do something about it, and stop whinning. Go to it brother, and make Jah proud.
