Hi Julie,

Like so many things in scripture, one must learn that it takes more than a third-grade treatment to understand scripture.

Of note, your parody did not introduce the fact that God has provided the Ransom Sacrifice to save all mankind.

So when you look at the Big Picture and the overall process and purpose, it all works out.

But unless the rule that sin is passed onto children were in place, the rule of the Ramson Sacrifice wouldn't work, that is, that one righteous man's death given up in place of Adam could redeem all mankind.

There are lots of complex circumstances, especially with the Jews who were under covenant that apply specifically to them and demonstrate certain things. Even the HOLOCAUST was prophesied to occur because of the infanticide of the Jewish prostitutes who burned up the children of the other nations in ovens (kilns). In fact, the "Lamentations" was written in advance for the mourning of this "great tribulation" that would happen to the Jews long into future.

A few key versus:

If you saw the TV series documentary "HOLOCAUST" starring Meryl Street and James Woods, there was a scene where you saw them being tortured by hanging from their wrists with their hands behind their backs:

Lamentations 5:12 "Princes themselves have been hanged by just their hand. The faces of even old men have not been honored."

This happened during the Holocaust.

Another torturous method during WWII was putting people under a faucet of flowing water:

Lamentations 3:54 "Water have flowed over my head . I have said: "I shall certainly be cut off!"

After Poland was invaded, the largest Jewish settlement in the World, Warsaw, Poland, had the Jewish ghetto walled off, separating the Jews from the general population:

Lamentations 3:7 "He has blocked me up as with a stone wall, that I may not go forth....9 He has blocked up my ways with hewn stone. My roadways he has twisted."

And finally, why is all this happening? Specifically referencing the burning up of children which was done by the female prostitutes, imitated in the ovens of the death camps, we find the explanation in line with how the sin passes onto the children, particularly for the covenant peoples:

Lamentations 4:6 "The punishment for the error of the DAUGHTER of my people also becomes greater than the punishment for the sin of Sodom."

Lamentations 5:7 "Our forefathers are the ones that have sinned. They are no more. As for us, it is their error that we have had to bear."

But...

As hard is that reality is, it also means the Jews are still God's "chosen people" in a critical sense and after the HOLOCAUST he reestablished this exile people back to Palestine and now they are a viable NATION again in the world.

So while the punishment may seem harsh at one point, you've got to see both sides of the picture. His mercies are abundant. And in the end, at the end of the day, it is his mercy for mankind that will triumph and all the pain will be forgotten.

Paradise is what God originally had in mind for mankind and this Paradise will be restored. It is for all of us to take advantage of this second chance.

Ultimately, God wants you to live.

FOREVER!

Know this.

Cheers,
Bibleman
