Hi Beaver,
On page 87 of the "Mankind's search for God" we find that "Cancer" is depicted as a Crab.
As far as "Artemis" goes, her ultimate counterpart is Ishtar, the "Virgin" and is depicted by the constellation of "Virgo" a woman holding a branch.
The branch, of course, represents her "seed."
So for the ancient Sumerians, Ishtar was really an incarnation of the beautiful Covering Cherub and angel now known as Satan and his/her seed. Thus Ishtar/Artemis/Isis holding the branch is a representation of Satan's rebellion against God, being the original "woman and her seed" with whom Michael, the arangel would eventually fight as depicted in Revelation where Jesus, as Michael the Archangel, kicks Satan and his seed, that is, the "Woman and her seed" out of heaven.
This occurred around December 25/26, 1992.
Of recent note has been the realization that Isis herself is represented as the "evergreen tree" or root of the stalk. Her role as MEDIATRIX is understood in the symbolization of the tree since a tree, with its roots in the earth and it's branches in the sky, unite, symbolically, both Heaven and Earth. So the constellation itself is also called the "root" in ancient Sumer.
Thanks for the information about Artemis. Of note, it was the Sumerians and Babylonians who mapped out the skies originally and the Greeks came to study astronomy and learned lots from them. Based upon their ancient records, the Greek astronomer Thales became famous for the most well-known eclipse of all time which was a solar eclipse he predicted which resulted in the Lydian-Median peace agreement.
But this event is incorrectly dated to 585BCE since that solar eclipse was not predictable. The only possible date as a predictable eclipse was in February of 478BCE which is the correct date for this event.
So while the WTS sort of looks down on the zodiac (even though the name "zodiac" is actually mentioned in the Bible -- 2 Ki. 23:5) which has a bad reputation because of astrology, it has long been observed and ancient records of the movement of the planets through the zodiac now help us confirm absolute-dates for the ancient past if the records are reliable and specific enough.
Anyway, I think another sign would be more appropriate for the time of the birth of the Messiah.
I'll look up the exact times when both of the Messiahs were born and when both of the Messiahs were anointed and see if there is anything in the "stars" that seem coordinate.
I'll be right back!
Thanks for your note. But since we know the exact general times for the birth of the Messiahs, ancient and modern, we can basically eliminate 10 out of 12 signs that would be significant. But there might be something there. Many important spiritual events are coordinated with the lunar calendar (i.e. Nisan 14,full moon, etc.) and thus are related to the Moon and the lunar cycle.
The "moon" you know, of course, in the Bible, represents The Bride Class.
Thanks for your questions.
You're welcome.
I'll get those zodiac birthdate/anointing signs for 2BCE, 29CE, 1950 and 1992 right to you.
No problem!
I don't mind answering requests like this. I have the tools. The astro programs. No problem!
Glad to do it!
:>
Cheers,
