I understand your passion. I feel the same way
myself sometimes and some relative tells me to
calm down, that I'm full of anger over this.
I think reform is slowly coming. The voting thing
was rather a surprize. Hoping for a wildly
catastrophic collapse doesn't do much good for
the innocent blind people stuck in the organization. I also think the average witness
is extremely good at self-deception, even in the
face of overwhelming evidence (look at Alan, here)
As to a sudden, nasty collapse, I'll give you this
possible scenario : As the power of the internet
increases, it is possible that many in power in
the WTS have their personal faith erode away
completely. This leaves them with nothing left
but power. If they then try to continue the course
of the Society in a mode of complete cynicism,
there is the possibility of another Ray Franz
episode - somebody can't take it anymore and goes
public - that could cause a sudden disaster.
I am surprized that something like this hasn't
happened already, but again even those in high
office in this organization are , in my opinion,
pretty dense.
