Actually, my response to mtzion that involved 2Tim.3:16 took me a bit off my topic. I'm not really concerned with whether the New Testament claims inspiration or not.
I'm just wondering how four different men writing about Jesus' resurrection could have such different stories? Weren't they all around at the same time? Didn't they all know each other? There is not just one inconsistency, (like which Mary was it and how many Mary's were there?), there are many inconsistencies.
Many people follow Christianity based on the writings of the New Testament.
Are they following God's words? If so, why the contradictions? Are they following man's words? Then how do they know what is truth and what is opinion?
How do we really know that what the Bible teaches about God and Jesus is true?
