1 Thess 4:16 says Jesus has an archangel's voice which means he must be an archangel.
You may not agree with that interpretation but that's where the idea comes from.
Then when you consider that it is Jesus who is supposed to lead his angels against Satan and his angels and that battle in Heaven says it is "Michael and his angels..." then it sort of crystalizes it, since the only archangel in the Bible is called "Michael."
So you have Michael, the archangel kicking Satan out of heaven in one place, and then 1 Thess. saying Jesus indeed does have the voice of an archangel and you put 1 and 1 together and get 2.
So that, to me, is sufficient reasonable Biblical foundation to confirm Jesus is Michael, the archangel.
Those two references should be enough. They are enough for me anyway.
