The quote by Paul that "ALL scripture is God Breathed" never pertained to what we now call the New Testament. When Paul uttered these words the Gospel accounts were probably never written. All Paul was talking about was the writings of the 1st 5 books, the Psalms, and the Prophets. Even though Paul was taken to heaven, he never claimed inspiration. In fact he even stated that he gave his own opinions in some of his letters. We have the Gospel of Thomas, one of Christ disciples, that was never canonized, and incidentally all these, as much as we Christians hate to admit it were preserved through the Catholic Church. None of these writers claimed inspiration. In fact, we DON'T KNOW Matthew wrote the book of Matthew, and the same is true with the other three.
