The story of the birth of Jesus includes the attraction to the event by a "new star" that appeared in Heavens and was a guide for the three kings of the east. My understanding of JW mythology is that Satan was responsible for the light and that it was the ill will of the kings that louie louie, (Lucifer) was doing his thing in and attempt to snuff out the life of the "babe".
In reality, they were of the Zoroasterian religion of Persia and were expecting a new spiritual "king" to come into the world. Their traveling many hundreds of miles to bring gifts and pay homage were anything but ill will. If the JWs acknowledeged this, they would have to account for or allow for the authentication of another religion, something JWs and most Xtians are want to do.
