in a recent book study, reference was made to certain
words of the high priest, Caiaphus:

"You do not know anything at all, and you do not reason
out that it is to your benefit for one man to die in
behalf of the people and not for the whole nation to be
destroyed"

Compare this with a reported private quote (COC) from
a very powerful member of the GB:

"the existing policy might work a measure of hardship
on some individuals in the particular situation being
discussed" "It is not that we don't feel for them in
this matter but we have to always keep in mind that
we are not dealing with just 2 or 3 persons - we have
a large, world-wide organization to keep in view and
we have to think of the effect on that world-wide
organization."

Now, Caiaphus I grant you, was not smooth or merciful
in his decision. I grant that Br. Jaracz had some
concern for the people caught up in the issue of
"alternative civilian service".

However, Caiaphas believed he was dooming a man
inspired by the devil. The GB , in this case, were
potentially sacrificing brothers they knew were
innocent! - and that for a policy they now have
changed!

The end result of both Governing Bodies' obsessive
lust for power was the same - innocent men suffer
and die.

Are they the "sons of Caiaphas"?
Or did their deliberate sacrifice of known innocents
make them worse?
