Hi Q,

Good question. But I do think there is an implied 2-day period.

Of note, the Festival of Booths and the Passover are both held during the "third week" that is, from Nisan 15th through the 21st basically.

But the third week is the first half of the first half of the month. The sub-theme of Jesus Christ is Mid week, or mid-time.

Thus when you add the 50th Jubilee Sabbath 1000 years to the 7,000-year 7th Creative day to make 8,000 years total, representing a symbolic month, then the 2,000 years or two days from 0 to 2000 AD represents the THIRD WEEK.

So from the beginning of the Frist Coming to the beginning of the Second Coming is 2000 years.

But it's hard to ignore that the two sabbaths days which occurred from the time of Jesus' death on the 20th and his resurrection on the 23rd might not have been symbolic of these two days of 1000 years each as well.

But here's another comparison. Thanks to you!

2520 years is like two-and-a-half 1000-year days.
That is very, very close to the exact time Jesus was "in the grave" or dead.

That's because if he died at around 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, there were about 3 hours until 6:00 p.m. which will just say began the next day, which was the sabbath. Then there were two full sabbath days. We know that Jesus rose before 3:00 a.m. But roughly that would be 9 hours after sundown. Add the 9 hours after sundown of the 23rd with the 3 hours before sundown of the 20th and you have 12 hours, a half day!

So the time Jesus was inactive or in the grave approximates the 7 times of the "gentile times".

And these prophetic patterns seem to match extremely well in prophesying other events, such as the HOLOCAUST.

It would seem that the time of Jesus' "Passion" predicted the era of the "great tribulation."

The Bible specifically records Jesus being surrounded in the garden with armed guards. This represented Jerusalem/Judea being surrounded with armies which began a time of destruction.

There were eight days from around Midnight of Nisan 15th when Jesus was arrested and surrounded by the armed mob until after Midnight when he was resurrected on the 23rd. Basically 8 full days.

If you change those days into years and apply them to the time of the HOLOCAUST, then those 8 years fit quite nicely from 1939 to 1947.

That is, from the time Jesus was surrounded in the garden until his resurrection, matches the approximate time from when Warsaw, Poland, was literally surrounded by the Nazi armies, constituting a "disgusting thing in a holy place" since Warsaw was the largest settlement of Jews in the world of the Dispora.

Thus Jesus' resurrection relates to the Jews "resurrection" to Palestine.

And even the approximately 2-1/2 years period from the end of the HOLOCAUST in the spring of 1945 to the fall of 1947 when the U.N. partitioned Palestine, relates to the 2-1/2 days jesus was actually in the grave. So his arrest and imprisonment and trials leading up to his death was the time period of the "great tribulation" for the Jews culiminating in the actual HOLOCAUST which ended in the spring of 1945 when Germany surrendered.

So the general time of the "Passion" correcponds to the "great tribulation", with Jesus prophetically representing his own people. I don't think that was an accident.

But as far as the 2000 years proper which you begin at his death. I would tend to begin this period of time with his birth around the time of the Festival of Booths in 2BCE. In that case,
2000 years just ended around October 7, 1999!!!

That is 2000 - 2BC = 1998 + 1 = 1999. So one 2-year period just ended.

Furthermore, since it is so close to the 2520 years from 529 to 1992, I think the fall 1999 2000-year period is more significant. One week from the fall of 1992 of 7 years ends in the fall of 1999.

So very interesting dating. I used to have a graphic chart showing the relation of the HOLOCAUST to Jesus' passion, I'll try to dig it up and post it.

But interesting observation! Apparently there are a lot of prophetic patterns.

In fact, if one were to presume that the prodigal son was to be tested for 40 years as the Messiah was tested for 40 days, and one would presume that if the "70th week" of the last 490-year period ending in 1996 began in 1989, then one might assume that the Messiah was about age 40 or at least in his 40th year in 1989. That being the case, anyone claiming to be the Messiah who was not 39 or 40 around that time couldn't claim to be the Messiah.

Also, if you want to piggy-back patterns, the "darkness of the sun and moon" could be applied to the approximately 2-1/2 year period from the fall of 1947 until the actual birth of the Messiah. That is, Matthew 24:29 says, "Immediately after the tribulation of those days, there would be darkening of the sun and moon". Well that period does apply to a 45-year period from 1947 to 1992 when the Messiah actually appears. But his human birth is also a significant event, it being announced the first time to the shepherds.

In that case, there does seem to be a patterm from Jesus death, representing darkness of approximately 2-1/2 and the time of "darkness" from the end of the "great tribulation" in 1947 of 2-1/2 years until Jesus' resurrection. So that when reapplied Jesus' resurrection corresponds to the birth of the human prodigal-son Messiah. And then Jesus' 40 days until his ascension corresponds to 40 years of the life of the Prodigal Son Messiah. Jesus' ascention would thus correspond to the Messiah being "cut-off" or appearing at the beginning of the 70th week in 1989, and Pentecost itself would be when he was actually anointed as the Messiah and took up kingdom power about 2-1/2 years later near mid-week in Decmeber of 1992.

It could also be implied as well, therefore, that the fact that Jesus disguised his own body and image so that he was not recognized by his disciples during that 40-year period, except by his actions, that that was prophetic that Jesus would not come back in his own body but would be "disguised" in another body.

So you can see, we can sit here and draw all kinds of pseudo-comparisons.

One thing is for sure, the Biblical patterns do seem to be there in one way or another. A few patterns of 40 years, 3-1/2 years, 4 years, 7 years, etc. seem to recur again and again, and now I'm seeing even the 2-1/2 days which represents 2520 years.

So thanks. I hadn't noticed that before.

I'm sure I'll come up with some more, though I won't be venturing to try to figure out "God's appropriate time to act" even if that too turns out to fall right in line with some prophesied pattern that we will only notice AFTER-THE-FACT.

Cheers,
Bibleman
