In addition of the Society being wrong about the animal count, this also makes them wrong about what the sacrifice meant after the flood. In the book, "New Heavens and New Earth" published in 1953 on pg. 102 par. 3, it states that the sacrifice of the odd male animal pictured that of Jesus. How can this be when there wasn't any odd male animal?? Then the very next year, after a concerned person asked the question which is correct, 7 or 14 of the clean animals. The Society again in the FEB. 15 1954 Watchtower under Questions From Readers failed to use verse 8, the key verse of understanding the proper number! At the bottom of the page in story nine of My Book of Bible Stories, it shows what scriptures to check to verify that only seven clean animals went into the ark. Gen. 8 & 9 is shown but failed to be used by the Society.
In the Feb. 8th 1997 AWAKE! page 26, under the heading, The Flood Fact or Fable, verses 8 & 9 are shown but the Society removed the word clean. The AWAKE writer we discussed this with said, they said they took it from the 1971 NASB. This is an out and out lie commited by the GB. Rather then admit to a simple mistake they paraphrased it by using a single quote, avoiding the word clean. This is an insult to your and my intelligence and anyone else that reads verses 8 & 9 of Genesis chapter 7.
On Labor day weekend of 1998 we found out that the horns were removed on two of the male sheep, making five females and only two males entering the ark. This was done by someday finally having to admit that 14 went in but by groups of 2. Five males and two females in one group and the opposite in another group for the total number of fourteen. How far will we let the self-righteousness of these men continue. The animals are the key in understanding why only the 144,000 go to heaven, to replace the fallen angels. Write us for more information including a poem about the 144,000. labufy@aol.com
