I was doing my usual lying in bed and unable to sleep routine and started to hear the phrase "The Devil made me do it" in my head...as so often as JWs we are told that Satan is causing this that and the other thing to happen...that he hears you when you pray outloud so make sure you dont pray about intimate things outloud or he will hone in on those and get you...stuff like that. Then I started comparing WTS doctrine with all the things they claim are Satanic about "Christendom"...whom Satan has "blinded the eyes of the unbelievers." But what are we really seeing here? See what you think of these:
WTS Beliefs:
* The person is a soul, there is no soul that lives beyond the death of the body. Whom but Satan would want you to believe there is nothing past death to hope for and certainly nothing to lose if you serve him instead, nothing left of you at all but dirt?
* There is no hell. Who else but Satan would want you to believe you wont be forever tormented in a firey place away from God...even though this place exists for him and HIS cronies? What is there to fear then when sinning?
* Heaven, only a scant few go there and you aint one of em. Who else would make you desire so strongly to go to such a beautiful place and be with God and then YANK the rug out from under you with the premise of being one of a Great Crowd down HERE with the blood up to the bridles after God kills BILLIONS of people?
* Jesus is Michael. Who else wants better than to demote the Son of God who is going to send him to his abyss and make that One appear as nothing more than another angel as he was?
* Jesus is NOT the mediator for the Great Crowd. Who else would remove Christ as the go between for sinful mankind and God, effectively putting God out of reach for all but a excrutiatingly tiny number of chosen ones?
* Trinity doesnt exist. Who else would want to be sure that his arch nemisis Jesus isnt perceived as part of God, in essence removing his clout or putting a doubt on the phrase "and all power was given HIM in heaven and on earth"? And that this holy spirit (which is sometimes a holy spirit "directing" certain things and sometimes a force for making stuff happen) is relegated to resembling mere electricity?
Who else but Satan would think this way? Who else but the Watch Tower Society?
