Hi Honhea,
But why would Job use the noun God in this verse if he was talking about an angel/man that would not be known to humans until many years later?
He was speaking prophetically of the future, of course.
I do not have a problem believing that people will be resurrected on earth at some point, but I also know that the Bible talks about the men of the OT being in Heaven. David talked in Psalm 23 about dwelling in the house of the Lord forever.
So, the "house of the Lord" is the temple, the Bride Class. That means he was looking forward to being one of the 144,000, who first serve on the Earth but then after the millennium and Judgment Day will go to heaven.
Where is the Lord's house?
The Lord's house is the TEMPLE, the Bride, the 144,000.
In Matt. 8:11 Matthew says, "I say to you that
many will come from the east and the west, and take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the Kingdom of Heaven."
So the kingdom of Heaven must some day begin to rule on the Earth. And as noted, eventually the 144,000 will go to Heaven.
In John 8:56 Jesus says, "Abraham your father rejoiced greatly in the prospect of seeing my day, and he saw it and rejoiced." Abraham died hundreds of years before Jesus said this. How could Jesus say that Abraham "saw and rejoiced", if he was not conscious after his death?
Easy, he saw a prophetic vision of it, how it would be, and he rejoiced over it.
Also, you did not answer the second question on my previous post. Could you also tell me why did the Jews want to stone Jesus?
Well, you don't give me a scripture specifically.
John 11:8 mentions the Judeans wanted to stone Jesus but it doesn't say why.
So please refer to a specific Biblical reference which you are referring to and then I'll try to answer your question.
Ohh, I get it. This is a trick quesion isn't it?
I know the answer. The reason they wanted to stone Jesus is because by stoning him they would kill him. Thus the reason they wanted to stone him was because they wanted to kill him.
Is that the answer?
What did I win?
Cheers,
Bibleman
P.S. If you want a specific answer, you must provide a scripture or more details. Sorry. :>
