Just recently I had a problem with this matter. I asked my "potential witness" friend this question. If you believe you should do away with the circumstances surrounding the "bad" event, then maybe they should think about the length of their meetings because after all, during one of Paul's lessons, a boy fell asleep and fell to his death and had to be revived by Paul.
Also-Satan had to isolate Job's family from him in order to kill them. The birthday celebration was probably not on Job's "need to do" list that week.
