Gilead,
I have been on countless committees and also appeal cases. In every case I have been "proud" to be a champion of the underdog.
For this reason, when I see cases where injustice appears to be have been done, it riles the hell out of me!
Over the years I have come to fully accept a saying of mine which developed after only a few
years "in the truth".
"You learn more by observing how things should NOT be done, than by seeing how they SHOULD be done"
Relating to Case 3 that you related:
The KS book states quite clearly that restrictions will be imposed in ALL cases where reproof is given.
And besides, we ALL know that no one can continue with service privileges (including pioneering) if such one has been reproved.
You mentioned:
"Some on the committee could not accept this so a letter was written with all the details and sent
off to the branch committee
The committee wrote [the society] and informed that in this case since the sister was doing such
a fine job in the cong and not to discourage her."
From this I understand that the Society was informed of the details of the case as well as
you brother's recommendation that the sister continue as a pioneer.
The Society would have responded to such a letter which was contradictory to their stated procedures.
Was such a letter ever received and what did it say?
Best Regards
