I agree wholeheartedly.
And I agree with recent observations of yours I have seen here that true Christian behavior really has nothing to do with "what time it is," or "when the end comes." For, if it does, that in and of itself may be an indication that even good behavior was wrongly motivated.
It is true that Jesus encouraged his followers to "stay awake," and "keep alert." This is because so much existed in the world of his day, and in ours, that had, and has, the potential to destroy Christian faith. A true Christian, however, would not follow the "law of the Christ" simply because a certain date was approaching, but rather because he or she was convinced of the essential correctness of said course.
