Luke 2:8-20 tells about what a joyful event Jesus' birth was. Nothng bad, nothing about birthdays shouldn't be celebrated, just about how great the event was.
Even Russell and the original bible students celebrated birthdays, Christmas, etc. even the Judge continued to celebrate these days until the 30's.
Once again not proof from the bible about birthdays being bad. God made the things he didn't like very clear. Jesus also made things perfectly clear. No place in the bible does anyone condem birthdays.
This whole thing was just another step in "the Judge's program of isolating the JW's from everybody else. Just another of many control methods put into effect by the Judge.
