Oh, Farkel, Farkster!
Don't you get it. This guy had to be tested. He had to be "buried" in "dirt" to fulfill the three days in the belly of a fish, as Jesus was buried "above-ground". It had to be innovative. It had to be shown this person would do anything holy spirit told him to do, even jumping into a dumpster. Who else would be willing to do this.
Not only that, he had to be dumped into a dump truck and almost crushed to death without crying out to fulfill Isaiah 53.
So sure, it sounds corny, but it was a test. And it had to be accomplished in public but without anybody catching on to what was really taking place on a spiritual level.
So it may sound a bit hoaky, but it did fulfill the technical letter of prophecy. And those persons who needed to verify the Messiah and the prophecies needed to know the details of what actually happened. Those who weren't actually there and involved. So there was no way to confirm this for them to compare the information except "coming out of the clos...um... I mean dumpster"?
So that's how it was done. Being buried in trash or "dirt" in a dumpster is like being buried in the earth or close to it. You have to look at the related symbolism.
Do try to think past the superficial won't you?
Thanks.
Cheers,
