For all you JW teenagers who lurk here, a piece of
advice:

If you leave home and walk away from the organization,
you may feel bad about it and want to come back.
That's fine, it's good to make amends with your
parents and friends you left behind at the Kingdom Hall

But one warning; Don't go back to the meetings if you
know you've done anything you could get
disfellowshipped for. I'm serious.

Let me explain. Suppose young Johnny gets fed up with
rules and boring meetings and so runs off for 6 months
or so with his friends. During that time he smokes
funny cigarettes and has sex with his girlfriend and
MOST IMPORTANTLY, he doesn't care who knows about it.
After a while, he feels bad and comes home. He goes
to a meeting or two. At that meeting, the elders are
waiting for him and say "they just want a word with
him". Soon, this spiritually weak young man fails to
grovel enough to convince the Justiciars that he
really, really is repentant and he is disfellowshipped.

Now you might think that Jesus' words about not
extinguishing a flaxen wick or parable about the
prodigal son apply to this organization .
You would be wrong. I KNOW THIS IS NOW HAPPENING ALL
THE TIME IN CONGREGATIONS NEAR AND FAR.

So, by all means, return to your parents loving arms.
Unlike many elders, they may understand what
compassion is.
