Not to put you down or to put Bibleman "up," but not every one with a "degree" is smart, intelligent, or and expert in their field.
My father didn't get past 8th grade because he needed to to go to work to help support his mother and sister because their father walked off on them. My Dad was extremely intellectual and could speak several languages, self taught, and was an artist, undiscovered. He wrote poetry and read every thing he could get his hands on and could converse deeply about many things. He was an inventer with some of his products on the market. He was a welder and with this talent he made many things and worked on ships that traveled the world. He "knew" what he was talking about when he spoke because of reading and living and experiencing.
The colleges today have even recognized this kind of talent and skills and you can get credits for these things by testing out on them instead of completing the classes. So I imaggine if my Father had done so, he would have had a degree in several areas.
So do not put someone down JUST because You think he isn't what he claims to be. I do believe Bibleman is very versed in the Scritures and he makes sense if you are willing to be opened minded and really think about it.
In my life I have learned the terms "professional" and "expert" are a joke. I have meet very few who can hold their own, let alone go beyond their field. Again, I know that there are many out there that can and do. I just let them talk for a while and the truth tells out.
Same with Bibleman, I will see, time will tell. But I will read what he says, do my research and I will keep asking him questions instead of hurling insults.
These insults to him are really beyond even you.
We need to be kinder to people, even to the ones who we think are not altogether there.
