this annon post looks real, She doesn't know about
h20 (yet) if you can spare a minute, I am asking for
your help and advice.

I hope that somebody out there can help me and answer my questions!
I was brought up in a Christian family and have never been involved with the JWs in any way, but my boyfriend (of 1 year) was raised a Jehovah's Witness, and even though he does not appear to be actively involved at the moment, I know that his family (particularly his dad who is apparently an elder or something) are. He is still very close to his family, his dad actually stays with him.
The first problem is that he seems to be keeping me a secret from his family, I have never actually met any of them even though we have been together for a year, and once when we were out together we bumped into his dad and he still didn't bother to introduce us, he just hurried me away and was very embarrassed about the whole thing. I am beginning to think that he is ashamed of me in some way.

The second problem is that I am nearly four months pregnant with his child and he is in no hurry to inform his family of this fact. He has promised me that he will tell them, but that he is just waiting for the right time. He is a grown man (29 yrs old) so I can't believe that he is so afraid of his own father. What I need to know is what will his family's reaction be to the fact that we are having a child out of wedlock, and that the mother of the child (me) is not a jw. Is my child going to be ignored by his father's side of the family? What normally happens in cases like this.... if this sort of thing has happened before!!!

Anyway, any advice or support would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

(I will post THIS post's URL for her also)
