I forgot to emphasize as well that this "great tribulation" is something one could flee from to the mountains. This is not GLOBAL but dealing with "Judea". Judea has to do with the JEWS. So it is where the Dispora was concentrated that became "Judea", most specifically, Warsaw, Poland, where there was clearly the largest Jewish resettlement in the world. That Jewish ghetto was totally liquidated during the war.
So ultimately, as stated, when the world saw the near extermination of the holy ones wherein they would face total genocide and wherein more than half their number would perish in a horror of a tribulation against them, then that was the sign the Messiah would appear "immediately after" following a 45-year period of spiritual "darkness".
That "great tribulation" was obviously the HOLOCAUST.
