The GB is unpaid. The Bethel allowances are not considered a salary, but merely living expense reimbursement. And really, even this amount is tiny. If the P.R. department had used this fact to say the GB were "paid", it would give a wrong impression to the reader. They would picture the GB drawing a typical religious leader salary.
I don't see this as being a lie.
