I was the family motivator! Up first for service and meetings - filling all the book bags and implicitly trusting that Jehovah was guiding my path, watchtower in hand. But then too, I was always perceived as the outrageous one in the congregation, called a lunitic by the elders because of my artistic flamboyance and radical dress - never looked the part and couldn't stand to think about looking the part. The elders that were immature took it personally -- attempting to exact their pound of flesh, and did, but at some cost to themselves. I never went down without a fight. But there I was, a sister, trying to keep it cool, knowing in my heart that Jehovah would right all the injustices........ha, ha.
