Of course you didn't. Neither would I have, if I were still in the "truth". I would have read it as notice to drop the practice if it were harming me, with a list of relevant "symptoms." It probably would have resulted in my vacillating between using and not using the Internet, if I were still in.

But many JW's, including elders, did read it as a direct command to stay off the Internet -- or You Know would still be with us, and Greg Stafford would not have tried to disguise himself.

From time to time, you hear counsel from the platform not to judge your brothers about things the Bible does not condemn in plain print -- but how often does anyone apply it?
