Yes, I understand that those situations take place, and it was the other way around for me. My family stopped talking to me for the longest time because I became a witness.
We all have to stand for the decisions we make either way it goes. My friends all left me as well, so I know the 'feeling' you are talking about perfectly clear.
Either way, I wasn't prepared to let them make my decision for me. Nobody in life for what ever reason shouldn't.
