Hi.
Sorry about a bit of confusion.
Obviously we're speaking of broken up years here.
But there is an implied discrepancy. The Messiah appeared in December of 1992 but the "man of lawlessess, per the Bible has to be revealed before the Messiah appears per 2 Thessalonians 2:3 "Let no one seduce you in any manner, because it will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness gets revealed, the son of destruction. He is set in opposition and lifts himself up over everyone who is called "god" [anointed ones] or an object of reference, so that he sits down in the temple of The God, publicly showing himself to be a god."
This just describes the state of the Governing Body in "the temple of The God" making themselves exclusively "God's channel" and thus dictating to all the other anointed ones who should be equal to them in every way. Their position and taking on such glorious titles as "God's channel" and the "Faithful and Discrete Slave" etc. has made them worshipped by many witnesses who don't care what the Bible says in many cases unless the WTS first approves it. Even if they know it is wrong, they think Jehovah will "correct it through his organization", etc.
Please note that this is an apostasy of the leadership of "the temple" class organization of "the God" meaning the witness organization. So this can be no one but the Governing Body, plain and simple.
At any rate, I did allude to the beginning of the "last hour" as being from the fall of 1991 to the fall of 1992 which would exclude the late 1992 notification and identification of the GB as the "evil slave" or "man of lawlessness." But as noted, the "last hour" lasts for seven years, typically so it would be from the fall of 1991 to the fall of 1998, which November of 1992 falls within.
The only critical dating for this event, however, would be that it would have to occur in some official way, or technical way, BEFORE the Messiah arrived. So that was accomplished.
They fulfill a parallel reference to the placing of the "disgusting thing in a holy place" after 1290 days after which the Messiah arrives 45 days later to fulfill 1335 days. So that seemed also to be significant as a technical fulfillment of that recurring prophetic pattern.
But you are right, November of 1992 does fall out of the fall of 1991 to fall of 1992 year as the first year of the "last hour" but it still falls within the last hour so it doesn't hurt the prophecy.
Thanks for noting it.
Cheers,
