Indeed, and as Penton has also pointed out, the decades-long discouragement of "higher education" has backfired on the society. In today's world, an organization that big needs college-educated people, and college-educated people generally don't stay very long in the WTS, much less at Bethel.
The finest and most educated of Jehovah's Witnesses are generally the first to get out of the religion.
