Perhaps in offline life Fred, ABK and FJW may very well be good decent people and be cool people. But in my opinion, their online personalities suck. So this is not a knock on them personally, but their postings just drive me absolutely bananas. I'm almost floored whenever I get serious postings from any of them, and especially towards me speaking kindly. I appreciate those moments, but they are too few and far between.
I don't really have a problem with FJW, I haven't really had any problems with him myself. But Fred and ABK (Fred moreso) just can't seem to take hints very well. Even when I speak it loud and clear, it's like "Huh?" In one ear and out the other.
I can make a whole list of people that would make better moderators.
